Busy evening

Well, it was a quiet evening at home with my family watching movies so I decided to multi-task and make cards while I watched the movies. I made a few birthday cards and some Easter cards. Some I'm happy with and some...not so much! I'm new to stamping and cardmaking so I'm still experimenting with different techniques and figuring things out. Even if it all turns out horrible I have fun doing it! Here are some of the cards I did tonight.

Feeling better!

So yesterday I was finally feeling well enough to get back to making stuff. I messed around and made this Thank You card using the Boom-Di-Ada paper pack from Close To My Heart. The card is pretty basic but I like it that way sometimes!

Walking Pneumonia

First, off, here's pictures of our St. Patty's Day cake and my daughter's bottle of green formula! Fun fun fun!!

So for the past week I've been pretty darn sick and after finally calling my Dr. I went in and found out I have walking pneumonia. That's one of the bummers of not having health insurance for sure. I would have gone into my Dr. days ago but kept putting it off, hoping I'd get better and here I am just getting worse and worse. He prescribed me an antibiotic and an inhaler (yay, I'll be able to breathe again) and said by Monday I should be feeling much better. Had I gone to the Dr. a few days ago, perhaps I'd be feeling better by today. Oh well, that's life! I'm just so thankful that the Lord has placed me in a country where I can just call the Dr. and be seen that afternoon and have the means to get the medicine to make me feel better! I realize that there are probably millions of people that don't have that luxury! Soooooo....after that, just ignore my whining about not having health insurance! :)

Since I've gotten sick I haven't had even the faintest amount of energy to do any crafting and it's driving me nuts. I dream about crafting and I caught a show on HSN (Home Shopping Network) where they were selling scrapbooking supplies and I was drooling! LOL I'm excited because my Close To My Heart orders came in so I had a blast looking through all the stuff everyone ordered and then being in hog heaven when it came to the stuff I ordered! Mmmmmm....LOVE their stuff! Definitely the perfect job for me!!

So, hopefully I'll be feeling better within the next few days and I'll have some energy to sit down and do some creating!!

In the future we'll have a workshop where we make these magnetic noteboards (altered cookie sheets). This is the first one I made and I'm really excited about how it turned out. The papers, ribbon and stamps are all Close To My Heart but the pens are not.

1st Workshop

For my first scrapbook workshop we're going to be doing this 2-page LO. Everything on here is from Close To My Heart. Sorry for the poor picture quality. Next time I'll take the pictures before I put them in the album! ;o)
Workshop will be Friday, March 20th starting at 2pm.

Playing around

I love making paper boxes and projects and one night I spent a few hours checking out tutorials on various things and this is one that I worked on. I didn't take the time to find paper for the handles that would match better since I was just goofing off but you get the idea. It would be neat for putting cards in here or even using for an Easter present for the kids or neighbors! So many options!!!

Deleted my last post

After I got to thinking about it I decided it probably wasn't the best idea to post a picture of the present I made for my MIL before I actually had given it to her! LOL I'll post other pictures instead! :)

My very own blog...woohoo!

Alright, so I've jumped on the blogging bandwagon and here I am! HOORAY! Now I'm off to find a fun background that is more my personality! :)
